- What is most beautiful of…
- …the rising summer sun…
- …the low winter sun…
- …the late summer sunset…
- An early morning – We’re living at a fishing hut near the lake Ånnsjön and it’s close to midnight when my friend asks me to take the bikes to Storulvån, and climb to the top of Getryggen. I was quiet skeptical after a long day of fishing and the fact that it was 35 km by bike and over an hour hike – one way – didn’t make it better…
- …I can’t say that I’m hard to persuade and this idea was too crazy to pass up so 30 minutes later we were on our way. And lucky was that! We were ascending on the shadowside of the mountain and when we reached the top, at 4.30, we were welcomed by this amazing sunrise. I usually say that the reality always looks better than the pictures, but these photos are pretty damn close.
- Uppsala Högar
- Closer than you think – You don’t have to go far to find that perfect view, it’s more about timing. This photo was taken through the window of my student dorm, in the middle of Uppsala. The bird just sits there, watching the sunset, just like I did.
- The moon – It’s hard to get a good picture of the moon without super tele lenses. But if you focus on a close-up subject, at maximum aperture it can serve as an excellent silhouette backgtround.
- Uppsala by night. It is fascinating how the citie’s artificial light makes colors come forth and things can be seen in a whole new way. Dull and boring subjects at day might look much more exciting at night.
- I can’t take all the credit for this photo. Kekke, my photographer companion, came up with the idea. Taking photos with him is really inspiring; you can actually spot him as a ghost to the right of the statue. Check out Kekkegul on flickr.com to view his stunning photos.
